THE SCOTTISH CHURCH COMMEMORATIVE VOLUMEIn 1997 Kolkata's Scottish Church College brought out a centenary commemoration volume on one of its most famous alumnus: Subhas Chandra Bose. The volume carried some of the best ever essays on the life and times of Netaji. Mission Netaji is grateful to Dr John Abraham, the Principal of the Scottish Church College, for granting the permission to reproduce some of them here.
Netaji - the leader with a mission He was a man who was focused. India\\'s freedom was uppermost in his mind and nothing, absolutely nothing could come in between him and his cause. Not even his failing health or the fear of death. >>> Netaji and national integration Netaji was quite alive to the problem of national unity since the inception of his rather short but eventful political career. His approach to this problem was both incisive and positive. >>> Moscow has documents on Bose: Russian journal Echo Planeti reported in 1992 that they had "occasion to hear from reliable sources that in Moscow they are quite highly conversant with the true state of affairs". >>> How transparent! A communication with Netaji always left us more enlightened and responsible. We gained so much self-confidence that we felt that the very destiny was in our hands. >>> »
